An
innovative technology company
helping firms use social and mobile
media was launched with help from
Taylors Solicitors.
Leading marketing
professional and former 2ergo sales
director, Damian Hanson teamed up
with David Hague to set up
Rossendale-based One iota.
Following the increasing use of the
internet and social media through
mobile devices the entrepreneurial
duo set up One iota to help
retailers manage their mobile
internet sites and engage with
consumers using sites such as
Facebook.
One iota enlisted the services of
Blackburn-based Taylors to act on
their behalf in the establishment of
the new business venture and helped
with the legal foundations of the
business including shareholder
arrangements.
Damian said: “Taylors were a name I
had heard of and a company that had
been recommended to me. In the
beginning Taylors gave me advice and
guidance on the different directions
I had to consider in order to get
the company structured correctly,
their help has been invaluable as
the business has grown.”
Elaine Hurn, Managing Partner at
Taylors said: “We were delighted to
work with and support One iota on
this new business venture. We really
enjoy working with new businesses.
One iota is an incredibly innovative
and interesting company and we have
enjoyed taking the time to
understand this business, its
industry and legal needs.
Damian said: “Retailers need to
ensure that consumers have a good
experience of their brand and that
all products and services are
displayed to consumers in a mobile
optimised manner. One iota work with
clients to create secure, fully
integrated and transactional
m-commerce solutions.
“As well as helping our clients to
develop a mobile optimised web
presence we are encouraging them to
take their shop to their customers
and allow them to buy from
themselves on the social sites they
are engaged on such as Facebook,”
added Damian.
Elaine added: “Damian and David’s
industry experience and brilliant
previous track record stand them in
good stead and I am in no doubt that
they have the sound platform needed
to go on and develop One iota over
the coming years.”. |
