Lancashire
business professionals lend their
support to helping businesses manage
stress in the workplace at the third
HR Exchange.
Chairman of Rossendales,
Julie Green Jones and Tony Almond of
the Health and Safety Executive
filled the guest speaking slots at
the Taylors led HR event.
Now into its third meeting The HR
Exchange has advised over 100
Lancashire directors, managers and
business owners with the latest HR
and employment law topics as well as
providing a dedicated network in
which to share best practice and
exchange information.
In response to demand, attendees
including the Eric Wright Group and
Daisy Communications were advised on
managing stress in the workplace.
Oliver McCann, Partner and Head of
Employment Law at Taylors said: “The
recent economy and press coverage
regarding redundancies and
unemployment in our area has lent
itself to potentially providing
extra pressure for employees
incredibly aware about the
importance of their job – making
this a key issue for us to tackle.
Tony Almond kick-started the event
presenting on tackling work related
stress with Julie Green Jones
following up on the importance of
promoting a healthy workforce.
Emma Morris of Rowanmoor pensions
said of the event: “This was a
fantastic session the best one so
far I particularly liked the
enthusiastic presentations.”
Oliver ran through the legal issues
relevant to stress at work as well
as an Employment Law Update.
Oliver added: “Helping business
leaders and HR professionals on ways
to manage workplace stress, means we
are equipping our region with the
knowledge to create reliable and
sturdy workforces, which can only
aid our own economy.”
Sandra Cadman of the Eric Wright
Group Ltd said: “This event had an
excellent mix of speakers with good
opportunities to link with other HR
professionals in wide variety of
industries to share best practice."
