Leading commercial law firm Taylors were
instructed by the Directors of Music Zone Services Limited in the
run up to the company being placed into administration.
Music Zone Services Limited operates as “Music Zone” a high street
retailer of chart CD’s, DVD’s and related products who at one point
were the fastest growing independent music retailer in the UK.
The company suffered an unexpected withdrawal of its working capital
facility from its principal bankers at a critical time in the run up
to Christmas and the post-Christmas sales period. The
Manchester-based firm filed for administration in early January
after struggling against competition from the internet and
supermarkets.
“It is testament to the reputation of the
Corporate Recovery
team at Taylors that we were asked to undertake this high profile
assignment” explained
Andrew Livesey, Partner at
Taylors.
“We were able to put structures in place at very short notice to
provide the client with the advice and support they needed at a
critical time for the business” he continued.
Taylors continue to combine their restructuring expertise with an
enviable partner-led service and it is this that clients find
invaluable.
